Improve Your Golf Game From Home

If you’re stuck at home during golf season for reasons beyond your control, you can still work on your game in preparation of getting back on the green. Whether it’s the weather or a deadly virus causing your absence from the golf course, there are plenty of helpful products to not only keep you sharp but improve your golf game from home. Let’s see what we got:

Build Your Own

If you need a good project to submerse yourself in while being stuck at home, you can build your own golf net.

Or, build a putting green in the hallway or basement:

Get Online Coaching

YouTube can offer some great insight into your golf game and technique. However, it’s nice to get some feedback while working on your game. Getting online coaching doesn’t have to cost a fortune. You can find some Fiverr gigs that won’t cost you a an arm and a leg. Besides, having that extra set of eyes will be beneficial in diagnosing problems and pointing out both strong and weak points.

Do A Little Shopping

In addition to spending this time researching and shopping online for some new gear, you can also do some shopping for products to help your game. If building your own doesn’t appeal to you, there are plenty of nets to choose from at Walmart.com.

For smaller or more generic items I personally keep a watch on Ebay for any bulk deals or interesting products. Ebay is great for practice balls, tees, and other miscellaneous items you might need to work on your golf game, or resupply for when you’re back out on the course.

I recently discovered the Acu-Strike Impact Mat via a YouTube ad. To be honest, it was the first time a YouTube ad didn’t make me incredibly angry for interrupting what I was actually there to watch. I thought the Acu-Strike Mat was a great idea, plus it’s a convenient tool to use at home with my new net.

In The End

To sum things up, just because you can’t get out on the course doesn’t mean your game has to go away. You can build your own training stations, update your gear and golf supplies, get some affordable virtual coaching, and obtain interesting training products.

A combination of the above will, at worst, keep your game on par during your down time, and more likely improve your golf game greatly. I happen to live right across the road from the golf course. However, I decided not to just sit out on my porch and wonder how nice it would be to play a few rounds. Now I can get a few swings in here at home.
